Privacy policy
Effective 11 September 2026 · PenFort is made by Fire Iron Studios.
The short version
PenFort does not collect, send, sell or share any information about you or your children. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The game works without an internet connection, and everything it saves stays on your device.
What the game keeps on your device
- Picnicker profiles: the first name or nickname you type, the portrait you choose, and settings such as Super Pen and automatic pictures.
- Progress: which picnics were saved and how much ink was used.
- Scrapbook pictures: images of your own forts, taken when you win.
- Playtest notes: how many times each picnic was tried or won, with ink, strokes and time. These stay on the device unless you choose to copy or save a report and send it yourself. Reports contain a random tester code, not a name.
- Sound settings.
This information never leaves your device through PenFort. It is stored in the game's private storage and removed when you delete a profile in the game or uninstall PenFort. Device backups made by your own operating system settings are controlled by you and your device.
Children
PenFort is designed for families. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children under 13 (or the equivalent age where you live). A nickname is enough; please don't use full names.
Purchases
If PenFort offers a one-time purchase to unlock the full game, the payment is handled entirely by your app store (Google Play, the Apple App Store or the Microsoft Store) under that store's privacy policy. PenFort receives only confirmation that the full game was unlocked, never your payment details.

Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. We will not start collecting information without updating this page and the store listings first.
